Inglorious Basterds - A return to form for Quentin Tarantino. Christoph Waltz stole the show and deserved his Oscar as the Jew Hunter. Brad Pitt was good too.

You guys know I'm right But be serious, nothing was EVER going to come close to Heath's performance. It was the acting performance of the decade. Even a merely good performance from Hardy (which he gave) was going to look weaksauce when compared Ledger's iconic performance.

It's like Mark Hamill with Star Wars. He may have been playing the main character but the supporting cast/characters were far more interesting like Han Solo, Darth Vader, Yoda, Ben Kenobi etc. Bale may be playing the titular character but he's not the one most people are interested in. TDKR lacked the spark of Heath Ledger's Joker who absolutely 100% made TDK. TDKR felt very soulless without him. Hardy did his best but his character wasn't even half as interesting as The Joker was.

Terrence Malick's films are bloated, overlong and quite frankly boring IMHO.
