I think, it's pretty much a lock. Movie will definitely need some special effects shots and Nolan had great experience working with DN. Jackson is only stunt adviser. All air fights (that will probably be in movie) will need participation of DN.Dobson wrote:What about Paul Franklin and DN?

Re: Dunkirk General Information (2017)
VFX maestro Andrew Jackson has since been recruited by Christopher Nolan for his upcoming WW2 epic Dunkirk. http://if.com.au/2016/02/01/article/Fury-Road-stunt-coordinator-Guy-Norris-on-SAG-win-and-Furiosa-sequels/VNHMWIHPCD.html Jackson's work was amazing in Mad Max, I'm really glad that Nolan inv...

Re: Dunkirk General Information (2017)
More I hear about castings in Britain, Belgium, France and search of old WWII ships, the more I am starting to think that Dunkirk will be R-rated film. Extremely naturalistic approach for making a film needs also naturalistic approach from screenplay, story and vision of movie.

http://www.lavoixdunord.fr/region/dunkerque-pour-le-film-de-christopher-nolan-la-jetee-de-ia17b47588n3255690 The same north French newspaper published an article about plans of Christopher Nolan's crew. And Nolan wants to build exactly the same pier as it was in 1940. It's really great news that Nol...

Re: Dunkirk Fan Art Thread
Great poster, but phrase "Dynamo is here" isn't correct for me due to the fact, that war epic drama is always tragic and brutal story, not for fun. As for me.misho92 wrote:

Re: Dunkirk General Information (2017)
I think, we'll get confirmation of appointing Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, Mark Rylance and maybe some other supporting actors in January. And information about crew will be in January-February too.

Re: Dunkirk General Information (2017)
@pashacules.... Exactly my thoughts brother. Why would have Nolan visited Dunkirk after finishing the script? I think, he was just getting familiarized with the shooting spots & absorbing new tidbits. I also think, this is not about the war thing everybody talking about. There is something more to ...

Re: Dunkirk General Information (2017)
And I feel that Nolan's film will exactly use war as a background. For me strange thing was that he visited Dunkirk to see future locations and also spent some time to visit musems, study history of operation. It's strange, because if this movie is about war, then study of history, details of the ci...

Re: Dunkirk General Information (2017)
R-rated or PG-13... It doesn't matter at all. It all depends on idea of the film. If Nolan directs Dunkirk as war drama the main idea of which is to condemn the war, it's cruelty, brutality and wrongness, that I will agree with you all about R-rate. But if Nolan uses war only as a tool to show inter...
