Has anyone seen Netflix's The Keepers?
A haunting, emotional docu that has stuck with me for months, still.

Re: Controversial Opinions About Movies Part II
Wally Pfister is the blandest DP I can think of, and I think his career post-Nolan shows just how lost he is without a good director to back him up. His work on TDKR was atrocious at times, which was a shame. did you see the same movie as me? I remember sitting in the IMAX theatre and having notice...

Re: Bond 25 (2019)
I'm hoping for the obvious route to see out Craig's era; have Madeleine be killed in usual prologue format, perhaps while honeymooning, and have Bond on a simple revenge path post MI6. Bring back Blofeld as some Hannibal type character, but keep the threat small and personal. If his time can be book...

Blade Runner is a masterpiece in all versions, if only for its imperfections. 2049 tried a little too hard to be "perfect" in every single aspect, except one crucial one: run time. Love this, along with the cover. A lot of the artwork for this is similar to The Master.Bacon wrote:

Three Golden Globe nominations including Best Director? Ridley's scored a good one here.

Re: Nolan's next film after Dunkirk
Personally I would like Nolan to continue his interest in historical events such as Dunkrik (comfortably his best film since TDK) and follow it up with a film detailing The Battle Of Britain . Though I suspect Nolan will move away from such War related work for the time being and focus purely on so...

Re: Nolan's next film after Dunkirk
But Westworld is its own thing, anything remotely similar will appear a carbon copy. A full thrown western, though? I don't think he'd be up for that.karthiksac wrote:I am sure Nolan would consider doing a classic Western piece and redefining the genre (like Jonah's westworld?)
