Re: UNTITLED NOLAN FILM (2017)

It will be great if Nolan will do something as Paths of glory, that is one of the best war films in the history. It has amazing drama element in it and great action sequences. Nolan, who is Kubrick's fan, definitely will use that film as influence. But what I want the most is that film must be about...

Re: UNTITLED NOLAN FILM (2017)

It all depends... You can make a war movie with a PG-13 rating and sometimes you SHOULD make it rated R. Depends on what sort of war film you intend to tell. If you want a story of a single, regular company, you probably SHOULD make it R, because of the LANGUAGE (mostly) and also battles. But if yo...

Re: What Inspired Nolan's Joker?

I know that scene with Batman and Joker in jail was inspired (especially for Joker's part) by 1972 film "The offence". And "Joker's" part was played by Ian Bannen.

Re: Who will be the cinematographer?

I think, van Hoytema is pretty much a lock. He was planning to shoot Wonder Woman, but suddenly declines that job in September http://www.slashfilm.com/wonder-woman-cinematographer/ . As for me, it's definitely because of Nolan's film as he sees much more in Nolan story than in DC comics movie. I d...

Re: UNTITLED NOLAN FILM (2017)

I had a strong feeling that Dunkirk operation won't be central part in Nolan's film. Duration of shooting in Dunkirk isn't so long to say that it will be the main story of the film. He uses the same amount of time to shoot his scenes on the farm in Interstellar and it wasn't the most technically com...

Re: UNTITLED NOLAN FILM (2017)

And I think, filming will start in March, April. Nolan always has one year for editing and post-production.

Re: UNTITLED NOLAN FILM (2017)

Duration of shooting in Dunkerk isn't so long, seems that scenes with evacuation will be something like scenes on Earth from Interstellar.

Re: UNTITLED NOLAN FILM (2017)

I have two thoughts about this film: it can be very melodramatic and evacuation will be as background for story. But I have a feeling that Nolan uses evacuation as part of more complex screenplay.
