Can someone explain why the aspect ratio is bigger than usual? Is Nolan using the wide IMAX aspect ratio for the entire film like Villeneuve with Dune 2?

On the official trailer release it's 2.20:1 - the aspect ratio of non IMAX 65mm film. Tenet and Dunkirk had the same.

Couple additional bits of info -
1. Confirmed that this trailer was cut by the same team that did the IMAX one from December
2. The music is NOT Goransson but from Colossal Trailer Music. Only the December main/online trailer features Ludwig's work.

What a cut. I love just in terms of overall campaign how much it ties back to the IMAX trailer and the initial teaser...and how expertly it blends the two competing tones (hopeful/period and the anxiety/horror of it all) Would be amazing to see it in 1.43 at some point, shame the Science Museum isn'...

Hearing Uni made the new trailer avail to UK cinemas from today, so now it's depending on cinemas being able to program it in time. Seems the classification has disappeared from Consumer Protection BC?

Also wonder if the CinemaCon piece (the 'sights and sounds' montage) might show up somewhere as an IMAX exclusive...like the Tenet one which became basically the final trailer

CinemaCon is coming end of April. Nolan was present there with Dunkirk and had showed a sequence to the exhibitors. I'm curious if he's gonna show a trailer or a full sequence again. Around April-May I think we will get the second trailer for the film. Yeah he showed the prologue for Dunkirk. In 20...
