Re: Interviews - Cast and Crew

My understanding is that Oppenheimer has less IMAX footage than Interstellar, Dunkirk and Tenet, but more than The Dark Knight. Probably less than an hour. That said, it's probably hard to clock accurately while you're watching it. -Vader But do you think it's possible that the whole film is in the...

Re: Oppenheimer - Early Reactions

Well, as Nolan's film are on average well-regarded by film critics (just look at his RT scores), it's more likely that you run into a critic who has liked Nolan's films in the past than one who hasn't, right? :D I mean, on a purely statistical level...

Re: Oppenheimer - Early Reactions

Many say it's impeccably paced and the three hours fly by, others say that it is boring and that the last act doesn't work (although without detailing why). The same goes for the female leads: for some they're underdeveloped, for others they work just fine. I'm looking forward to finding these out f...

Re: Oppenheimer - Early Reactions

I'll listen to Mark Kermode's take and that's it :D Not that interested in others, and I try not to influence my first viewing with reviews, either good or bad. (At least, it would be ideal not to be influenced, but I guess sometimes you can't help it...)

Re: Interviews - Cast and Crew

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eY5OAXTDYU&t=1s I adore all these people for having the chance to talk to these filmmakers, and I know these interviews are important from a marketing point of view (both to the film in question and the news outlet conducting the interview), but I just really, reall...

Re: Oppenheimer - Early Reactions

Woah, it sounds like Nolan's dramatizing the scene where William Borden, one of the folks against Oppenheimer in the early '50s, is piloting a plane and a V-2 zooms past him. That's a tiny passage in the book, and would have to be shown in flashback... just how much is Nolan putting in this film? I...

https://youtu.be/GB3e9YDOTUg The newsreader praises the film in this. Watch till the end. Re: Interviews - Cast and Crew

I'm not sure if we've seen this sort of "senu-confirmation" of the cast in the past weeks, but I think I've got a full cast list at hand. A Hungarian film critic was sent the full list of Hungarian actors working on the local dubbing of the film, including all the characters and actors from the film...

Re: Interviews - Cast and Crew

The People article was so short; does that even count as an article? The Blunt/Damon interview was wholesome, I suppose, but mostly unilluminating. I liked the RDJ/Murphy interview, though I'm hoping the mispronunciation of Strauss' name isn't something that is in the actual film. I hope they - I m...
