Re: Obligatory Climate Change Thread or Are We Fucked?
Earth may temporarily pass dangerous 1.5 C warming limit by 2024, major new report says This first overshoot beyond 1.5℃ would be temporary, likely aided by a major climate anomaly such as an El Niño weather pattern. However, it casts new doubt on whether Earth's climate can be permanently stabiliz...

Why did so few people vote? Some of those who voted for nominees didn't even vote for winners

Re: [SPOILER] Discussion/Speculation Thread
I'm wondering why did the scientist who build the algorithm hide it's parts in 9 different places on earth instead of destroying it? She even took her own life so that nobody could force her to build more. The same applies to the Protagonist, Neil and Ives. So what's the deal with that, is it impos...

Re: [SPOILER] Discussion/Speculation Thread
tbh I was also confused because I thought the algorithm was already active and would destroy the world the moment Sator dies, and so when he did and nothing happened, I thought I missed the moment they defused it. But later I realised it apparently was never active in the first place, since they st...

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation
The problem with the $20.2M domestic figute is that it includes all Canadian grosses from 12 days. The US alone has $14M and that includes all the previews throughout the week.

Re: The Films Nolan should direct
I just think that doing blockbusters forces the direction of Nolan's films downwards the action route. Every one of his blockbusters had significant amounts of action. I'd like to see him tackle story, character and dialogue exclusively for a change. Especially since those were the issues of Tenet, ...

Re: The Films Nolan should direct
I wish Nolan directs a smaller project for a change, something that is not a blockbuster, a la The Prestige. It's been a long time.

Re: Tenet User Reviews/Reactions [Possible SPOILERS]
review time: Tenet is a delirious, exhilarating ride with some of the best action I've ever seen. Every minute hits with sensory assault and spectacle, with mad scientist plotting that flies too close to the sun in a way only Chris Nolan can. As a film it falters, but as a"CINEMA!" experience it is...
