I just rewatched Interstellar, and I wonder if Nolan himself anknowledges how great he captures this dusty, old, classic atmosphere.

I'm amazed how male-centric this thread has become.

Nolan received a lot of help while making this movie, and that's the reason why you don't actually see his style there yet. But it's still a great film. A good detective, which I quite enjoy, though I didn't watch it so many times.

Hopefully a thriller of some sort. I'm still okay with Bond, but I think Mendes beat him to it. What about a horror/thriller like The Shining? Too dark? How would he utilize IMAX? I always think he'll only go for projects in which he can use IMAX to heighten the visual storytelling and spectacle. I...

It was meh as a Nolan film, and I sincerely believe that most of the people who'll love it do not fully appreciate what his previous films were about. Including almost all the critics. It's not "a new Nolan", it's just a lower quality Nolan. But it's not a thread about opinions, so I'll stop it now....

You are prepared to this knowing the nature of the film. Nothings beats off Mann's death/Endurance's explosion in Interstellar.
