Re: TENET - General Information

oh i definitely have a couple friends who liked it but thought it wasn't up to par with his other films, which is valid.

I sorta think this is a movie that'll do well on streaming, find its audience. the college stoner crowd is gonna love it lol.

Re: TENET - General Information

funny thing that I've noticed is certain Nolan fans, and film fans in general, are getting so caught up in just following the intricacies of how Nolan delivers the plot that I think they're sorta missing what Nolan is going for (I certainly did my first viewing). BUT in my circles I've had friends a...

Re: Tenet - Awards Season Discussion Thread

Cinematography is best bet for a win.

sound mix/editing will be nominated, maybe win.

score, costumes, production design.

Nolan won't get a directing nom but he effing should.

Re: [SPOILER] Discussion/Speculation Thread

Sure sure, but DiCaprio has been clearly credited by Nolan for the emotional throughline and emotional arc of the film and pushing Nolan to do months of rewrites. I've said it before, but Tenet is probably close to what Inception would've been if Nolan didn't have DiCaprio to make the more more inv...

Re: [SPOILER] Discussion/Speculation Thread

Is it possible someone who is inverted to kill his past version? or since he is inverted, that means he is alive in the future and he don't die in the past, so there is no way to kill himself in the past? I don't know if this makes any sense. I really want to knew what will happened if someone kill...

Re: Nolanhack's Next Flick

^ what you're describing is what i felt Dunkirk was. It is his most accomplished film, and the one I feel most comfortable calling a masterpiece. It's his 2001 but I agree with what you're saying about his interests expanding to different areas of cinema. going smaller would force him to think diffe...

Re: What Actors Would You Like To See Nolan Work W/ Again?

he'll be taking 1 or 2 actors from Tenet onto his next, presumably. Debicki seems like a lock. Pattinson has an outside shout, depends on his Batman schedule.

Bale as a lead, or villain, feels like it'll happen again. and of course Hardy at some point.

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation

this movie will end up doing fine. Internationally it'll have legs. a bummer about U.S. but it'll get some needed cash from those big, unopened markets. ironically, this movie will have its life on HBO Max and grow in reputation there. as for Nolan, laughable to assume he won't be able to do what he...

Re: Tenet User Reviews/Reactions [Possible SPOILERS]

3rd viewing, what was initially obtuse and bombastic is now a razor sharp interlocking loop of belief -- stylized with a far more kitschy playfulness than I initially thought. The film keeps revealing more insights and emotions (effect before cause), and pulls you in deeper while expanding thematica...
