Re: Dunkirk's Soundtrack

23 years since Lion King, he is definitely long overdue for another win. The academy knows his name and talent, that could help him with both the nomination and the potential win. He should've easily won for Interstellar, one of the best scores ever, far outclassing all the competition. Dunkirk's s...

Re: Fionn Whitehead joins the cast of 'Dunkirk'

In the clip you can hear the background music cutting out too, it's just for a split second but there's definitely a 'hole' in the sound, not just Tommys voice.. A bit of a weird way to edit it.. I've played that clip a bunch of times now and damn that is a good scene. Both Styles and Whitehead rea...

Re: Box Office

Even if The Emoji Movie is good, it'd still be a disgrace if it beats Dunkirk, a way, way, way better movie. And it's embarrassing that the general public prefers trash like Spider-Man Homecoming over Dunkirk.

Ticking Watch. Boat Engine. Slowness. The Secrets of the ‘Dunkirk’ Score https://nytimes.com/2017/07/26/movies/the-secrets-of-the-dunkirk-score-christopher-nolan.html It also says Nolan is taking cello lessons. Cool. EDIT: I find this a beautiful detail. Another stroke of inspiration came when Mr. ...

Re: Predict the MVP of the cast

Branagh fourth from last?? Well I guess you're entitled to your wrong opinion.... Seriously though, he was amazing! :wtf: The problem I have with Branagh's performance is how he says his lines about "home". Both times it feels really hamfisted, part of it is due to the silly dialogue but part of it...

Re: [SPOILERS] Thread

You can hear it, though. You can hear the chain. I heard it both times I saw it. First time I thought it was a sound effect, more like something icy or something. After ya'll mentioned the chain and I re-heard it, I was able to tell myself what I was hearing. Don't remember him actually getting sna...

Re: [SPOILERS] Thread

Apparently it's supposed to be a different plane (which bothers me...I don't like that). But focusing on your point I feel like it's not new ground for him considering he's been cross cutting like 3 different situations to build tension from TDK on. TDK had tons of instances of it, Inception at the...

Re: Predict the MVP of the cast

To rank them from best to worst in descending order:
Mark Rylance
Harry Styles
Cillian Murphy
Tom Hardy
Tom Glynn Carney
Fionn Whitehead
Jack Lowden
Kenneth Branagh
Aneurin Barnard
Barry Keoghan
James D'Arcy

The bottom four in my list are pretty bad. Fionn was unimpressive.
