Re: Sicario (2015)

9/10 I agree that it gets a little bit sluggish in the middle, but it didn't detract much from all the things it did so well. LOVE the cinematography. Some of the best I've seen recently. Mood, tone, characters. All very good. And I think the "message" of the movie isn't as straightforward as some h...

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) PAGE TWO

Eisenberg is easily the biggest draw for me here. His bit in the new trailer all but confirmed my hopes.

Re: Controversial opinions about movies

I know you weren't asking for MY thoughts on the Kubrick, but I'll give 'em to you anyway. I generally do a pretty good job of separating the art from the artist. Re: Controversial opinions about movies

I like that you said "debunked." A lot of the issues he cites aren't real problems. That being said several of them are, and I like your sentiment that it's just a part of film.

Re: Controversial opinions about movies

like continuity stuff? There was a video that went around a few years ago showing MANY problems with the fantastic armored car chase scene. It shows a LOT of problems, but the thing is, you're not thinking about those when you watch it. The characters, the images, the lighting, the sound, the pacing...

Re: Controversial opinions about movies

Could it be perfect and still have something that is better than it? Does perfect mean best?

if perfect=infinite
and Lawrence of Arabia>the prestige
and the prestige=perfect
then Lawrence of Arabia is like=infinity+5
and infinity+5=infinity

what the fuck am I talking about?
