Re: Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2020)

Heh trailer, should have been shot on film too, jarringly clean and texture free.

Re: HBO's Watchmen

Very interesting and impressive episode, the writing is too on the nose here and there but is also satisfying in a way as an alternate canon. Still struggling with this being done without Moore's approval. Sequel but unapproved sequel, so I guess this feels like fan fiction at times but of the highe...

Re: Disney+'s The Mandalorian

Fantastic second episode after an excellent first one. I've seen some call it a "filler" episode, nah, someone's comparison to an RPG is perhaps more accurate with this episode being a series of complications which I adore. It just has a great feel to it, mood, atmosphere, vibe, look. Goransson's sc...

Re: Apple's See

The third episode has a fight scene that's one of the best things I've seen in a while. Momoa is a BEAST in this. Such a fascinating show, I'm not seeing what the pitfalls are exactly, the reviews made it sound way different than it is (ie making it sound like the show blows and it does not), everyt...

Re: Apple's See

Not sure why See got such a mixed critical reaction, although judging a show on the first three episodes is a tricky proposition. First episode is rock solid, first things first: some people just won't be able to go past the concept itself, I've seen reviewers calling it silly, it isn't. The world i...

Re: Disney+'s The Mandalorian

Yup, most of Europe (even the UK) has a vague first quarter 2020 "date". Netherlands getting it in November LOL (where they launched the beta too).

Really fucking dumb and frustrating. They're asking for it.

Re: Disney+'s The Mandalorian

Disney will lose millions of customers by not making The Mandalorian day and date worldwide, baffling business decision. Dutch or US plus VPN is the way to go.

Re: The Irishman (2019)

No, it's just something that's disrespectful to the actor or whoever is concerned and annoys me and it needs to be said. Might be off topic but it says volumes when people just do that but aren't capable of taking the time to look it up.

Re: The Irishman (2019)

Stephen Graham is the name. I don't understand why some people can't be bothered to go on IMDB for 5 seconds to look up the actor's name, if only out of respect.
