US to be energy independent by 2030
Da Fuq... its not Dead, but its Expensive and Unsustainable... Come on, I expect Humans to evolve and develop new technologies to create cheap clean energy... its the logical step forward. Energy from oil is FAR cheaper than oil from renewable energy. Our new found oil from shale has secured our en...

Does anyone find it a chore to watch Batman Begins now?
The first hour with the training and the flashbacks was well handled, I'll give Batman Begins that. The non linear narrative is classical Nolan. Though I don't like how Bruce's past was spelled out for you. And that's a major problem I have with this movie, it spells everything out for you. One of t...

Oil isn't dead no matter how much hippies like to believe it is.Z. Cobb wrote:If By 2030, Humans are still dependent on Oil as a major source of generating energy, then we are all doomed.

US to be energy independent by 2030
Now that we've discovered new reserves of oil from shale rock, do you think we'll hold the rest of the world hostage by becoming the world's largest oil producer? It's like how in the aftermath of WWII when Europe and the rest of the world was on its knees and we forced them to accept our Marshall P...

Eh It doesn't hold up to repeat viewings is what I'm trying to say. I hadn't seen Begins for about 3 years until yesterday and I reminded myself why. The majority of the film is backstory and there's only so much backstory you can take in before it gets boring. When you get to the final act with Ba...

Does anyone find it a chore to watch Batman Begins now?
Especially after the massive critical and commercial success of The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight? BB was Christopher Nolan's first blockbuster movie and it really does show here. The Dark Knight was a step up in every way and it shows with the box office figures and the awards it received from va...

Zero Dark Thirty (2012)
This is one of the only movies where I won't be going in with a critical mind. If there are lousy performances, if 90% of the movie sucks I won't care as long as I get a great scene showing Bin Laden ass capped then I'm sold.prince0gotham wrote:you and a bunch of rednecks I guess

Zero Dark Thirty (2012)
Am I the only person who's only watching this just to watch Osama get his ass handed to him? The shooting alone will be worth the $8 I pay to watch this movie (hopefully). I don't care for all this talk about the movie's Oscar chances and the performances. I just want to see Bin Laden's head blown up.
