I am amazed by the absent of the great Sir David Lean from every list posted. He has 7 Academy Award nominations for Best Director with 2 wins. Same as Spielberg. His to masterpieces The Bridge on the River Kwai and Lawrence of Arabia won 7 Academy Awards back to back including Best Picture. And yet...

Is there any reason why no one is talking about Foy and McConaughey in the best actor and best supporting actress discussion? Do they just write them off because it's a "sci-fi" movie? In terms of awards it is going to be this year American Hustle. It will get a handful of nominations with no wins. It will however be nominated for some big awards.

What is up with that shot of an old looking David Giyasi. Very interesting. And then there is a shot of another spacecraft. And if I am not mistaken it might have something to do with a certain cameo.
