Re: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)

The Spahn ranch scene is the only time I felt the pace drag if im being honest. I understand the approach it just feels a little off to me at times.

Re: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)

Saw this with a group of friends. Almost all of them loved it. Sold out theater and heard several people after complain about the pacing. the California dreamin sequence just captures the feel of that era and is one of my fave Tarantino moments Leo still mvp for me. Robbies does all she can with the...

Re: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)

Really don't see this flopping I think people will have a great time and word of mouth being good. I didn't feel the runtime at all and entertainment factor is high with loud characters and a ton of laughs. Showings are selling out for the weekend here in Portland.

Re: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)

Any notable acting outside of the main 3? This is Pitt and DiCaprio’s film. Outside of that Robbie’s is good and Qualley lights up the screen. I figured as much. How good would you say Pitt is and how close to Leo for you? Also, in terms of Pitt and DiCaprio’s career... where do you think these per...

Re: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)

Been meaning to check out Transit. This is far and away my number one this year so far but also really enjoyed The last black man in San Francisco and Midsommar. Re: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)

Will have to see it again before I rank I think. It didn’t disappoint though. Every character is interesting and performances across the board are great. For Hateful Eight Tarantino showed up to the Hollywood theater opening weekend and the guy doing the screening hinted he might do the same this we...

Re: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)

This was so much fun. Less plot driven than some of his other work. Third act is perfection. DiCaprio the standout for me.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (2019)

Has great moments and really packs an emotional punch at times. I don’t know if it sticks it’s landing though. I thought the pacing towards the end was kind of awkward and Caps final scene could have been better.
agree with others Bucky should have gotten the shield.

Re: Us (2019)

This suffers from being quite predictable. That being said direction is strong particularly the third act. Also thought a lot of the plot is revealed through characters spoon feeding it to us.
the dance/fight scene is fantastic. The music was so good.
