Re: El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019)

Why not? Gilligan had this idea that he wanted to pursue, I guess everyone involved felt it was worthy enough, otherwise they wouldn't have bothered. Paul said he was initially skeptical too. Breaking Bad is my favorite TV show. I'm ready and excited for this--I just don't know how you expand upon ...

Re: El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019)

That looks like a legit movie alright. Super impressed by the production values. Great trailer and hype through the roof now. It does look amazing and I expect nothing less from Vince Gilligan. But it still gives us very little about the plot, which is both a good thing and a bad thing for me perso...

Re: The Irishman (2019)

Apparently, according to one of the producers of the film, The Irishman is a slower paced Scorsese film and it focuses on toxic masculinity.

Re: El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019)

2 Questions:

Will this be released at 12AM on Oct 11th? I'm not sure how Netflix works when it comes to their new releases.

Second, do y'all think critics will get advanced screenings to this?

Re: El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019)

In early 2018, while Paul was in New York shooting The Path, Gilligan called him and shared that he had written a movie about Jesse. "I'm like everybody else on the planet — I think Vince and the rest of the writers really nailed the landing with the ending of Breaking Bad, and why mess with that?" ...

Re: The Irishman (2019)

isnt that true of any aspect of the movie? -Vader The de-aging and the voices are going to be the most obvious aspects for me personally that would be distracting. Scorsese is going to do what he does best, so I have no doubt it will be a very well made film--but will it be great? A lot of question...

imagine thinking this didn't occur to Scorsese

-Vader
Scorsese is a master--so I expect it to be addressed, but if it isn't--it could be cringeworthy.

Re: The Irishman (2019)

Assuming they pull off the de-aging process. How are they going to handle the change in a person's voice? For instance, anyone familiar with Pacino in his younger days, knows he sounds nothing like he does now. If I"m looking at Pacino in his 30's or 40s in this movie and he sounds like a raspy 70 ...

Re: Last Film You Watched? VI

You talking Film Noir?? One of my favorites... Maltese Falcon, Big Sleep, Touch of Evil, Third Man, Asphalt Jungle, The Killing (early Kubrick), Dark Passage (underrated Bogart flick), Riffi (great French film noir), Postman Always Rings Twice. Casablanca (not generally considered film noir, but ha...
