Would love to see some left field casting as well somewhere down the road as Nolan did in all three of his Batman films. So far almost all the casting choices fit like a glove at first glance.
like?

Re: Untitled Star Wars Film (TBD)

as i just said to others on fb, my personal read of the D&D situation is that they got increasingly apprehensive for reason XYZ, got too over ambitious by signing up with Netflix, all while KK was over-steering for more control after R1/Solo/Trevorrow and those two extremes inevitably clashed disast...

Re: HBO's Game of Thrones

The revisionism going on now about early GOT is a little ridiculous imo. Many showrunners / filmmakers have talked candidly about "making it up as they went along" due to inexperience. Recently in "Prestige TV," Sam Esmail, Nic Pizzolatto, Joe Weisberg, Donald Glover, Phoebe Waller-Bridge have all e...

Re: Last Film You Watched? VI

Soooo, I watched Zombieland a couple of days ago, and still liked it very much and decided to go see the new one as well. I... don't hate it? I mean, it's obviously not better than its predecessor, but it's good enough for me to have a good time and some laughs. Easy to enjoy if you don't overanaly...

Re: Untitled Benioff & Weiss Star Wars Film (TBD)

Any chance Kathleen Kennedy persuaded them to leave? After that Austin Film Fest Q&A, they are not popular in the industry atm. I'm guessing D&D leaving preceded the Austin Fest Q&A by a while. They knew about Trevorrow for months before it was formally announced. I also don't think it's a coincide...

Re: Untitled Benioff & Weiss Star Wars Film (2022)

Kevin Feige is probably the one in the driver's seat figuring out whose gonna be on the next Star Wars. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/marvel-s-kevin-feige-developing-star-wars-movie-disney-1243481 Curiously, Feige just got promoted to oversee all of Marvel so I wonder how thin this ...

Re: Untitled Benioff & Weiss Star Wars Film (2022)

Worst part of this news is the now absence of getting a Miguel Sapochnik Star Wars movie. Or just give him anything in this universe. One of the most talented filmmakers alive today. What's interesting is that they easily could've cited creative differences but didn't. KK says she hopes they return ...

Re: USA's Mr. Robot

I'm missing the ultra-focused pacing of S3, but so far S4 is really good. It's trying to be as experimental as Season 2 but with the pace of Season 1 or 3 with somewhat mixed results, but it's v good.

this was the "pine barrens" episode, speaking of the sopranos.

Haven't started watching this yet, but based on what y'all are saying about this show, the Rotten Tomatoes audience score is a bit confusing.
it was review bombed by racists, sexists and nazis who (terrifyingly) thought Rorschach was meant to be idolized.
