Can Bane really top the Joker ?

The Joker is Batman's ultimate opponent, his nemesis, his exact opposite. The Joker was meant to be in the sequel to TDK as I specifically remember interviews prior to the films release with Nolan and co discussing it. Since, I've been completley unable to locate them, probably because of his death....

What flaws do you see in The Dark Knight?

And as for the Batman voice, I wouldn't go so far as to call it horrendous. I'll say in certain scenes it was pretty bad, especially when he's in conversation with someone (final conversation with the Joker, final confrontation with Harvey). But for me, it did work during other scenes (interrogatin...

missed opportunity

Here's the thing. Nolan has the final decision. If he wasn't happy with Bale, he would've had him do different things. But he was. That's that. What we see in the film is what Nolan was happy with at the time. I personally feel he was much, much better in Batman Begins, but that's just my opinion.

Any recommendations? Need a favor.

You need to be a little more specific in what you're looking for. There is so much to choose from, so if you narrow down some of your preferential genres or films you like, I'm sure we can find some gems for ya. Kind of pointless to recommend Tarkovsky or Bergman films if you have a short attention...

JFK Assassination

I gave a speech on this in my rhetoric/debate class, did quite a bit of research on this. My dad helped who has been researching this (not obsessively) for 30 years. Anyway, here's the speech for anyone interested. This was from 3 years ago, don't be [itoo[/i] harsh. I mostly relied on my skills as ...

I'm undergoing some ...eye issues to say the least. It's a long-winded explanation I won't bore you guys with (PM me though, if you're curious) but I basically can't read (things not on screens), or watch movies. Driving's a pain too. But the watch movies bit is the most drastic (heh, who needs scho...

Thinking about doing my thesis on Nolan

Saw this when I was bored going through old pages before my time. I'm doing an upcoming speech on him (the topic is a pop-culture figure), comparing him to Kubrick, and how he's leading the way into an era of fantastic, intellectually satisfying spectacles that harken back to some of what Kubrick di...

What flaws do you see in The Dark Knight?

A few flaws: The Bat voice doesn't work for long conversations The Batman vs. SWAT action scene wasn't as exciting as earlier action set pieces The final scene with Harvey and Gordon's family on the rooftop felt like too m uch to me. The performances from the many unnamed small characters with 1-2 ...
