The music on the Inception BD

I just posted this in TDK's thread for flaws, but I thought I'd post a topic. I've seen Inception 5 times in theaters, once IMAX. Since, I've seen it around 4-5 times at home/people's houses, one of which was with a massive 5.1 setup constructed by a guy who works at best buy home theater. It sounde...

Re: The INCEPTION Award Season Discussion Thread

The King's Speech writer, David Seidler, deserves to win. He had a stammer as a kid and was inspired by the King's success in overcoming his stammer. Seidler wanted to write this script 30 years ago but the Queen Mother told him to wait until she passed away. She blamed her husband's early death on...

Re: What flaws do you see in The Dark Knight?

Dialog scenes too low, action scenes too loud. Could just be a Bluray issue, but I remember the sound being overbearing in the IMAX mix too. Wally Pfister mentions it in his DP/30 interview as well. This happened in Inception too. :\ Constantly messing around with my remote volume. D: One thing, do...

Re: What flaws do you see in The Dark Knight?

I remember Gordon saying something about he wants Lau alive, but with the Joker either way, meaning they are about to surround the area where they are at. But soon after, Joker calls the TV station and makes the threat, and suddenly Gordon is diverting all the units to evacuate people from the hosp...

Re: What flaws do you see in The Dark Knight?

Why don't you think the penthouse bit needs to be explained, haha, along with the "I'll tell you where he'll be this afternoon." It implies Moroni's giving up The Joker's location to the GPD to track and bring him down, then we see the location, but nothing about pursuing the lead. Hell, it's bette...

Re: Pirates of the Carribean: On stranger tides (First Trail

The first part is probably one of the most entertaining movies I've ever seen. The sequels were enjoyable but not as good. Agreed. I'm growing increasingly optimistic about this. I hear nothing but fantastic things about it from sites that are more than willing to openly bash things they disapprove...

Re: What flaws do you see in The Dark Knight?

Nice read. I agree on the Joker and Lau surviving the blast, but the rest I think are possible, or dion't need to be explained. The "I can tell you where he'll be this afternoon" line doesn't really need to be explained, in my opinion. The Sonar concept is also possible, and doesn't really need to ...

Re: Super 8

I lost faith in J.J. Abrams after that horrible lost ending and that awful Star Trek remake. I'm going to sit this one out It wasn't awful, just not as good as it could've been. :( JJ had nothing to do with LOST's ending, so that's a mute point (Damon and Carlton wrote it), and if you'd be willing ...

Re: Captain America (2011)

This was pretty high on my most anticipated of 2011 list, but I'm sorry to say it's getting lower and lower on it.

Everything looks good, as in, not great.

hm.
