The Other Way

My short film has been released on YouTube. It's hard to believe it's been a year since its birth. Finding himself left with no memory next to the Cloud Gate in Chicago, a man discovers a wrist-device on his arm and slowly unlocks the mystery to an unknown puzzle. 'Photographs' - 5-minute Short Film

'Photographs' is an open-interpretive 5-minute psychological short film loosely inspired by Nolan's 'Doodlebug'. Its an all-visual film with no dialogue whatsoever.

I'd love to hear some critique on my work. I encourage harshness.

Thanks,

Will

Man of Steel Trailer #4

I teared up, I'll admit. Such a great beginning to a trailer. I only wish I can get my hands on the trailer's soundtrack. I still have chills from it.

Budget?

He shot it on an Arriflex 16BL and some other 16mm Bolex camera. Very impressive work indeed. I plan on shooting an extremely low budget 16mm film myself.

Batman Begins-Nolan's most emotional film?

Batman Begins, The Prestige, and Inception are probably the most emotional. Its a tough call though.

Doodle Bug

Nolan did a great job setting up atmosphere and environment. I love the different shots of the clock, pitcher, and phone.

Dormer in the Fog

My belief is that it was indeed purely accidental. In the end when Burr asks Dormer if the killing was intended, Dormer replies, "I don't know anymore...". His sleep deprivation and insomnia have drowned out his mind of the true answer. When the incident did happen, it was most definitely an acciden...

Favourite Nolan/Pfister Cinematography?

There are a few particular shots within most of his films that I just can't get out of my head: Memento- The opening scene and the B&W sequences. Insomnia- The ariel shots of the plane and glaciers, and the fog scene. Batman Begins- Young Bruce falling down the well, Bruce within the cave as bats fl...
