Re: Hoyte van Hoytema's Cinematography

Saw it laser IMAX 1.90 and I was wondering how it feels to see this in 1.43 with the switching ratios considering most of it (though I didn't pay attention all the time, but the quality difference between 5 perf and 15 is night and day) seems to be 5 perf/2.20. Distracting? In 1.90, it works very we...

Re: Killers of the Flower Moon (2021)

Who gives a shit. Like Jim Cameron said when asked about Avatar's budget and how he feels about that much money (with the fake 500 M number at the time) being spent on a film: "I would say the answer to that is every one of those dollars goes to a person, because it doesn't get fed into a computer a...

JUICY DETAILS: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/behind-martin-scorseses-killers-flower-moon-apple-deal-1296394 " But the studio wanted the budget — then about $180 million with a tax credit from New Mexico — pared down to about $150 million. No one actually believed that Scorsese actually woul...

Re: Rate The Trailer #3

8 probably. Not a mindblowing trailer, I preferred the first one and the prologue but very cool. I just feel this doesn't do justice to what the film is probably going to be.

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

Apparently, the stay at home extension in LA wasn't properly reported and isn't actually what is going to happen? Wait and see. By the way, Oxford MIGHT have a vaccine ready by September and a few hundred million doses by the end of the year. The US is also working on one (just started trials) that ...

Exactly Anton. Geez are some people in here and everywhere else being dense. This pandemic is illustrating sheer human stupidity, and it is rampant. Not surprising.

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation

Glad to see some folks using their heads. (referring to the articles above explaining the caveats) It's not about petty things such as "But but but Disney is doing it too !", it's about the reality here. I know it's not possible to keep movie theaters closed until a vaccine is up and running (althou...

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

A vaccine this year IS a possibility, Oxford is the most likely to date, we'll see.

Anton gets it, be smart about it, only when the new cases are minimal can it be acceptable I guess.
