Re: Interstellar Memes

If anyone was gonna go evil, it would have been CASE. He was on Endurance alone for sooo many years yo. Yeah....that was TARS, ninja. What? CASE was on Endurance before they arrived, TARS basically turned him on. It's CASE in ionif's picture, sure, but I don't get what he's trying to prove with it....

Re: Interstellar General Film Discussion Thread

Maybe this has been discussed before, but in the tesseract, if time is represented as a physical medium in font of Cooper, does that also mean Cooper is ... immortal during that scene? If he's able to interact with any point in time as if it's a film reel, does that mean he himself is not experienc...

Re: Interstellar General Film Discussion Thread

can someone explain how MM character got recruited so quickly. it seems unnatural that he stepped into NASA and all a sudden he was their best pilot He wasn't the best pilot, he was their only pilot. It's an obvious plot contrivance. -Vader No, he was their best pilor. He had already been their bes...

Re: The Ending scene of Interstellar[Explained] [FULL SPOIL

I think you just summed up the story perfectly :) The only thing I can't really get my head round is the following: If Cooper has figured out the coordinates and binary code in the beginning of the movie, then why is he sending these like it's the first time he has ever seen these inside the Tessar...

Re: Interstellar General Film Discussion Thread

Yeah, you're right. Still, I really doubt he was a "politician" type - I don't think NASA would launch the missions and 11 other astronauts would follow a politician bullshitter who barely has any knowledge on science. Sounds like a disaster. Brand says that he was the best of them. To go on a miss...

Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen as much product placement as in this movie.

Also: imperfect (c)Lock? The plot thickens.

Re: Interstellar General Film Discussion Thread

I do have a new question after seeing it for a second time though. Why would the brilliant Dr. Mann put himself in a position where explosive depressurization could take place? Wouldn't he know how to avoid that? Also, can someone provide an explanation of how the future humans were able to provide...

Well, duh. 2001's visuals are still amazing and always beautiful , but no one can deny they had a much bigger impact in a world without CGI, without Cuaron's Gravity, without HD cameras on ISS.

Not sure about that.

Not sure about that.
I guess that's why they're called controversial opinions.

Re: What are Interstellar's Flaws?

The film should have been 4hrs long. More time for Space exploration and character development. No. Yes. Space is just vacuum. You see one bit of vacuum, you've seen it all. EDIT: I think Nolan should have just rolled with it and made the crew discover the actual Matt Damon inside the stasis chambe...
