Re: Teaser/Trailer #1

I've been out of touch here, so I was insanely excited and surprised during previews prior to Ad Astra when the Syncopy logo came on and the Tenet teaser rolled. :gonf: :D

Re: HBO's Game of Thrones

So I'm assuming Jon's birthright as king was never leveraged to save his life (prior to the decision to send him north), correct? Because he would rather die (or be exiled ultimately) than serve as king? You'd think one of the Starks would have said, "Hey, yo, Jon is the true king," when he was rot...

Re: Mary Poppins Returns (2018)

I'm not a fan of the original, though it was groundbreaking at the time. I think the "groundbreaking" part is what made it more popular than it deserved. I saw Returns tonight and enjoyed it way more than the original. Loved all the performances. An eeeeevil Colin Firth was unexpected.

Re: Tom Hardy as Bane

A little Christmas cheer for you from Bane. I'm old enough to remember this song/cartoon, so it was especially funny to me. Bravo to whomever created this gem of a parody. https://youtu.be/7WnbilrEbXw

Re: Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018)

I need to see this again to make a complete decision on it, review-wise. I do agree with others who have said they tried to accomplish too much in this and had too many characters, especially for folks like me who never read the HP series. On the positive side: loved the soundtrack and many of the p...

Re: TDKR General Information

There are some things that felt really unnecessary for me, like the inclusion of Talia Al Ghul as "the real villain". I think its necessity is in how it brings the story arc full circle. Batman Begins began and ended with Ra's al Ghul, good guy mentor turned bad. Talia was good girl love interest t...

Re: Venom (2018)

I saw this in IMAX tonight and was pleasantly surprised. I was afraid it would be gross and scary (I know next to nothing about the comic book character), but it wasn't. Hardy did a great job with the two characters and their rather hilarious relationship. It was a lot funnier than I expected. I tho...

Sorry I fell asleep

EDIT: Also it was just revealed that a bunch of Lady GaGa fans made fake accounts to post bad reviews lol
How stupid. The audiences for these two films will be totally different. What are Gaga fans worried about?

Literally boycott this film if there isn't an entire scene devoted to the Niffler.
I have two words for you:
