How the fuck is she happy? Besides being reunited with her friends she just saved, if anything she seems 'at peace' as she literally says regarding her force feelings of Luke dying.

This is a wonderful independent film by acclaimed Spanish filmmaker Antonio Méndez Esparza about a working-class African-American mother and son, and it just recently got released online. It's fucking beautiful. It's honest, raw, tender, and surprisingly funny. Minimalist and understated in its form...

This was kinda meh. It's like a not-so-good Taxi Driver, more or less. Phoenix is pretty great though, per usual.

I think if anything, the reason anyone would have more of a problem if Elio's character was a girl isn't because it would be inherently worse, but rather because society tends to infantilize girls more so than boys.
