Re: Teaser/Trailer #1

It's funny seeing so many people flip out over a 40 second teaser trailer not being released on the internet for several weeks now. Who cares at this point? I'd rather just wait until the first full length trailer comes out in the next few months, probably in December.

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation

I think, after giving my own question some thought, I know the answer: no! If you look at the current state of Hollywood, it's clear that you can't expect an original project with no name or franchise recognition to make a billion. No, not possible, even if Nolan directs it. The Dark Knight and its...

Re: The Criterion Collection

Looking forward to their releases of Matewan and When We Were Kings . Never seen the former, but only heard good things, and the latter is one of my favorite documentaries ever. I've seen a lot of people predicting that #1000 will be a Godzilla box set, but it should be interesting to see what the b...

Re: Teaser/Trailer #1

Wouldn't be surprised at all if the first teaser is attached with It Chapter Two in September.

http://www.cliomuse.com/uploads/9/2/4/6/9246605/8485595_orig.jpg Words like 'epic' and 'amazing' get thrown around rather often nowadays, but this film is truly deserving of both of those words. I saw the new 2K restoration that Janus Films did for this film, which was made in response to King Vido...

Here's an excerpt from Peter Biskind's (Easy Riders, Raging Bulls) recent book The Sky Is Falling about how political extremism in American movies and TV gave us Trump or something bla bla bla.

Re: Tenet - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

I know that by this point Nolan is basically the main selling point of his own films, but $200 million still seems astoundingly high for a non-franchise film considering there's no one in the cast that has the star power of someone like Leonardo DiCaprio to justify that large of a budget, if it is i...

Re: Ludwig Göransson will compose Tenet

Zimmer was likely too busy. Zimmer was pretty busy during Dunkirk. He had a lot of help on Dunkirk as well. There's a possibility Nolan didn't want a fractured Zimmer, nor did Zimmer want to offer a fractured self. It's possible Zimmer even recommended Göransson. He is indeed busy. He's scoring 4 m...
