Uhhh...Memento, anyone? That and Sin City are perhaps the best neo-noirs of the past 15-20 years, IMHO. (Depends heavily if you consider Pulp Fiction to be neo-noir.)

I heard that Aronofsky shot "Pi" on 16mm tri-ex REVERSAL film stock, which means there's no negative -- you're stuck with that one copy of the film, so if it scratches or tears, you're screwed. But the grainy look of that reversal stock looks better than the negative stock, thus the film looks great...

How is it better than The Dark Knight? Having watched TDK right before TDKR last night, it's utterly clear to me how TDKR pales in comparison, on pretty much every level.

One hour and 44 minute analysis of Nolan and Batman Begins? That's pretty hardcore. They're apparently going to do all of Nolan's films. I didn't hear the whole thing but it sounds good to me, albeit with some audio issues.
