Re: Soundtrack: Göransson or Zimmer?

Imagine wanting Hurwitz over Göransson, come on man… Whether you like it or not Ludwig is the future of this industry, so why would Nolan want to work with anyone else? Because I consider Hurwitz work much better than Goranssons output? He can be the future whatever, not really relevant to my perso...

Re: Cast

What does J.Edgar a movie directed by Clint Eastwood have to do with this? Yes they’re both biopics but will likely be nothing alike. DiCaprio also did The Aviator to great success. It’s about the director, not the type of movie. I know Pattinson doesn’t compare to DiCaprio as a movie star, duh lol...

Re: Soundtrack: Göransson or Zimmer?

Ludwig is an ant compared to Zimmer, and none of his scores would crack Zimmer's top 20. This thread is ridiculous. Tenet's biggest weakness was the utter unmemorableness of the score; absolutely nothing majestic like No Time for Caution from Interstellar. This is like comparing Rachel Morrison to G...

Re: Joker (2019)

Regardless of how one might feel about the film, I'm pretty sure everyone will agree that Phoenix delivers a GREAT performance. Is he as great as Ledger or not? Because nothing he's ever done, even when he's been Oscar-worthy, was as great as Ledger in TDK. But I have a feeling I know the answer to...

Re: Joker (2019)

Suffice to say, the Joker is quite the role though. I mean, not only pointing negatively towards Leto's wild.... Ride. But Nicholson and Ledger have played the parts tremendously well. Nicholson made him iconic but Ledger made him absolutely legendary. I can't wait to see Phoenix performance. He's ...

Re: Nightmare Alley (TBD)

I feel like this is going to be a shitshow. Even though it somehow won major Oscars, The Shape of Water was so bad.

Re: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)

I'll go with digital, the last two times I've tried to see film have been a disaster. The prints are scratched up and not framed well. The film broke twice during Interstellar at the Imax at Navy Pier in Chicago. That was five years ago now, there's likely even less actual well-trained projectionis...

point being, I'm honestly glad this might free up Leo to work with better filmmakers.

Re: Nightmare Alley (TBD)

Kind of feels like Del Toro thinks he's a more important director than he really is. Writing a role for Leo when you've directed mostly junk is audacious as hell. Then pivoting to Cooper to save face (who very well might turn him down too  ). When has he ever made junk? Pacific Rim, Cr...
