Re: TDKR without Newton Howard - Better, worse, different?

TDK and BB both had mood-pieces of soundtracks. As in, to get to the juicy sweet themes, you had to listen to about 5,6 minutes of ambience.
TDKR had themes ready and done. I reckon it was a bit more streamlined, without losing the dark electronica the originals had.

So she's gonna have the now stale storyline of
-her being super-obsessed with joker
-joker betrays her/ignores her

Well, if it wasn't fish-bowl in between the legs; then Borden's mentality of living as the magician is centred on a lie!

Re: Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

Yeah, it's Marvel's best film.
Not much more I can say, but Vision and Scarlet Witch are onscreen. Years ago I would've found that impossible. They're dynamic in this film.

Re: What was the last movie you watched? V

Braveheart (1995) Dir. Mel Gibson A daft cartoon. Comfortably Gibson's worst film. A textbook case for how you can strip all the intrigue and complexity out of a real scenario and wind up with a 3-hour Death Wish with silly costumes. Randall Wallace is basically the worst. Even McGoohan struggles. ...

Guy Ritchie injects an energy into all his films that maybe don't even deserve it, so I'm pretty keen!
Apropo of nothing; I still laugh that some (hack?) screenwriter got paid out big-time for Robin Hood Avengers as a concept.
So fucking funny/that or I'd be depressed.

Great to have some shots that aren't literal darkness.
Loving the crisp look as well.
