Re: Nolan's next film after Dunkirk
I have a strong feeling that the next film is Hell and Gone. He always tries to make his films have very stark contrasting themes from one another, sometimes right after the previous film. The Prestige takes place in the past Interstellar takes place in the future Dunkirk takes place in the past Inc...

Re: Interstellar Oscar Chances
I don't know why they bother with 9. Everyone knows a month in advance what the top 2 contenders are.
Really, the films are:
Birdman
Foxcatcher
Boyhood
The Imitation Game
They're wasting their time with 5 more spots.

Re: Interstellar Oscar Chances
In my opinion, his only convoluted film is TDKR, which has some incredibly clear plot problems which have been discussed to death obviously. But yeah, I remember Inception getting alot of hate at the time too with all these "plot hole" problems that really were just questionable at best. Interstell...

Re: Interstellar Oscar Chances
Also, considering his most respected/critically acclaimed material is the batman trilogy, I wouldn't say being known as the director of those films hurts his reputation. Hell, the only time any of his films won an important award was through that trilogy. Yes, but that's kind of his problem. Nobody...

Re: Interstellar Oscar Chances
It's becoming increasingly obvious to me that if it weren't for Nolan being "The guy who directed Batman films," he'd be considered a Fincher/P.T. Anderson/Aronofsky type with the Academy. Nolan's a "Superhero/Comic Book" guy, so he's grouped with the likes of Jon Favreau and Joss Whedon. To me, Nol...

Re: Mr. Hughes Bio adaption
This might be happening after all! http://www.relevantmagazine.com/culture/film/qa-christopher-nolan This was in an interview with Nolan in the July/August issue of Relevant Magazine: Q: You mentioned remaking James Bond films as a kid. Would you do a Bond film at this point? A: I'd love to at some ...

Re: Interstellar Script Discussion
There's no way that script is fake. It's too good to be fake.
And if it is fake, whoever wrote it needs a job in Hollywood immediately. Get his ass out of his mother's basement and give him a major franchise property.

Re: Interstellar Script Discussion
Does anyone think Nolan is aware of the script leak? And if so, do you think it could affect what he's done with his draft? And lastly, depending on what he's done with the script, do you think he even cares? I guess, as a Nolan fan, I'm trying to see this situation from his perspective, and if I wa...
