Re: Amazon's Too Old to Die Young

Anyone here been watching this? For one it's an audiovisual feast (that Khondji and Martinez combo is absolute fire), I'm not sure on everything else at the moment, playing for now like a more stylized Dragged Across Concrete, but this is one ep down though.

Quick google search shows it’s controlled by the subsidiary of one of Russia’s biggest gas companies, half of which itself is partly owned by the government. Yeah, it's the 3rd biggest c...

Guessing now that they'll skip Comic-Con we'll get the teaser trailer attached to ROS? Maybe earlier?

Re: Dark Phoenix (2019)

Here's the thing about this film - it doesn't know what it wants to be. A traditional X-Men team movie or this offbeat Logan-type thing (to use the reference point that Kinberg specifically called out). Or more crucially in terms of the story, a more character-driven and somewhat introspective team...

Re: Ad Astra (2019)

Since it's a New Regency production and has quite a bit of indie money behind it I doubt Disney will be able to tamper it that much, marketing aside. In fact Gray did mention in interviews that Regency's been keeping the studio off his back and he's basically only been dealing with them.

Re: Ad Astra (2019)

Do bear in mind that the trailer is cut to go with Dark Phoenix this weekend...of course it'll amp up the action elements and so on, if anything falling into cliche is a sign that the film actually isn't like that at all.
