Is there anyone here that's willing to argue that TDKR's script is better, tighter and more coherent than TDK? I can't fathom someone making that argument. TDKR felt so incomplete, so rushed but at the same time, so much that was unnecessary. They should have focused more on Bruce in prison (I bet ...

I think if Nolan had scaled back a little and picked a few ideas and characters to develop it would have been a better use of the 2 Hours and 45 minutes. Nolan is like an ambitious contestant on one of those kitchen game shows who can never quite finish his dish in the amount of time given. Whether ...

[SPOILERS] The Final Scene

The ending excites me except for the
"Robin" being his middle name crap.
I wish they had chosen something a little more organic than that.

I just think Bane is the perfect book end to the series because he fits in so well thematically with everything discussed in the Dark Knight. It's as though everything the Joker warned Batman about society and morals is embodied in Bane and what he does to Gotham. Here is a man that believes so trul...

I am not happy about Bane being underwhelming. For me, discovering his motivation is by far the most intriguing aspect about the entire film and I've loved his presence in the trailers. I will be disappointed if his character lacks intensity and depth. I think it's safe to say he won't and that, as...

No standout amongst the cast.

Bales Performance in TDK is very underrated.
It really is. That look of utter exasperation he gets on his face when arguing with the joker in the second to last scene is amazing.

"Until their spirit breaks completely."

*epic sigh

The main criticisms so far seem to be that Bane is underwhelming and that the story drags. That actually makes me glad because it's a good indication that they didn't try too hard to out write the Joker. The Joker was fun to watch, but Bane is more about getting down to business and getting things d...

Worse than The Dark Knight?

The Dark Knight was so good because it had two iconic characters, with minimal set up. If you watch the Dark Knight it hits the ground running and feels like the second act of a larger story, which is how I choose to treat the trilogy. So it won't be worse than the Dark Knight, but like Batman Begin...

[SPOILERS] The Final Scene

Totally fine if this were the ending except for the stuff about John Blake's middle name. I'd much rather have his real name be one of the Robin's names, or it somehow being his nickname.

I like how Bane isn't at the head of the court proceedings, but off to the side like a Jacobin or Bolshevik. "Just letting the people exact their justice."
