Does the Rachel recast bother anyone?

Same. Pretty much Nolan's worst decision as a director/writer was that character and both actresses he had to play her. lolwut? Rachel Dawes is very important in BB. Less so in TDK, but she still has a role to play in the film. Stating that the character is Nolan's "worst decision as a director/wri...

Christopher Nolan acknowledges Bane's voice.

The voice is not the problem just the background noise of certain scenes. I heard him perfectly in the trailer while at the theater and later at home. I saw the prologue in the theater (and downloaded it later too) and the only problem I had was the plane engine noise keeping me from hearing anyone ...

[SPOILERS] TDKR 6-minute IMAX prologue

I don't see how it really matters. The guy ends up dying. It would be a problem if he were playing the mayor or some other notable character. He's not. For the role he played, his acting sufficed. Nolan was obviously content with the guy's acting, otherwise we wouldn't be talking about this. Plus, ...

What is the philosophy of Bane?

Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman

*shrugs* That's pretty tame compared to me watching The Excorcist at age five.

The Joker's hypothetical place in TDKR

Joker ~ Lecter in TDKR seemed always to me like a good idea and unconventional story. Joker was genius freak, opposite of batman, as Lecter and Clarice. That could make damn good dynamic between those characters. But interrogation scene between Joker and Batman or Joker and Bane means Nolan is repe...

The Joker's hypothetical place in TDKR

I'm not entirely sure how Nolan would've incorporated The Joker into TDKR. I don't think he would've been the main villain of the film but at the same time I think his part would've been much bigger than say The Scarecrow in TDK. There was at one time a rumor that he would've acted as a sort of Han...

The Joker's hypothetical place in TDKR

Not sure if I should post this here or in the TDKR board, but

Does anyone think that if Ledger had still been around to play him that maybe Nolan would have written off the character on-screen in the style of "The Dark Knight Returns" comic?
