Re: Nolanhack's Next Flick

I think a psychological thriller/horror would be nice!

Two of the genres, that Nolan hasn't done yet, is historical epos and natural disaster.
Some weeks ago it came to my mind that a film about the vulcanic eruption and destruction of Pompei would somehow combine both genres.

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation

Finally! So happy for all of them, especially Nolan. And happy how he got his Oscar in the end. With not only him but six others as well. The best thing ist that each win feels totally deserved. 7 Oscars. What a nice magic number. :D And kind of all the important categories. It somehow wouldn't have...

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation

Yes, I hope for the best.
Going to bed now here in Europe, will read the news when I wake up.
At the moment I can't imagine how Nolan (and team) could make any better after Oppenheimer.

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation

I went to see Poor Things and The Holdovers recently. Also saw Killers of the Flower Moon last year. Didn't see Barbie yet. It's some tough competition Oppenheimer is up against. I would love to see it win best picture, director and best actor, but I feel it won't be happening, at least not for all ...

https://youtu.be/lAkgMEONMIQ?si=wv2RLAm3Qy-rIGkH Oh yes! Saw this yesterday and wanted to share it with you as well. Wonderful analysis and made me notice so much more details. Makes me appreciate Murphy's performance even more. Makes me wonder how much of those details (eyes, gestures etc.) come f...

Re: Nolanhack's Next Flick

yeah, sorry no way Nolan makes a film that doesn't include Imax. So a budget under 80 million dollars is out of the question now. Epic visuals Nolan hasn't captured that could be used in Imax. Western Natural disaster film Gangster film Car film Sports film Old war film Super natural film Sea film ...

Re: Robert Downey Jr. will play Lewis Strauss

I just wanted to share my thoughts about RDJ and in this moment you just mentioned THE smirk in the post above. :D Although I am not 100% sure which one. There is this incredibly forced smile almost at the very end when Strauss himself is about to face the press when he is passing through the door. ...

Re: 'Oppenheimer' Nolanfans User Reviews

I think when people say an hour-hour and a half could’ve been cut off, they’re likely referring to the Straus segment. I’ve seen people say they felt the communist witch hunt aspect wasn’t compelling to them. I’d be curious to know what people thought about that segment and how they felt it was rel...
