Bat Deduction and Batman Gambit

Although I love the entire trilogy, two things that were lacking in all the films for me were: 1. Bat Deduction (http://tinyurl.com/ce4dg3j) - instead, Bruce spends a lot of time getting outsmarted by and being two steps behind his enemies. 2. Batman Gambit (http://tinyurl.com/nphmfn) - I would argu...

So that "super-secret" all CGI final scene that was being rumored during production, was it the explosion over the bay or Blake in the cave with the bats?

Your Thoughts On the "Dark Knight" Trilogy

I know it's cliche but TDKR really does get better after multiple viewings. The first time you see it you're not just watching a movie, but a projection of 4 years worth of speculation, anticipation and hype. The second time around, you begin to appreciate it as a pure film-going experience and noti...

Dark Knight and The Hero's Journey

Now that most of us have seen TDKR, it's really obvious that Bruce Wayne completes his journey. It's the perfect trilogy in that sense. ****SPOILERS!!!**** 1. THE ORDINARY WORLD. BB: Wayne Manor, Bruce as a child with Rachel. 2. THE CALL TO ADVENTURE. BB: The bats, the opera... then Joe Chill. 3. RE...

[SPOILERS] Is Bruce going to have a child?

I don't think it's beyond the realm of possibility. In the source material, Bruce (at various times) has had a child with both Selina and Talia.

But if it does happen, I don't see it as a major plot point, more of like a reveal in the epilogue.

Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman

forgive me if this has already been discussed but I found this interesting... this scene is from Prestige, and I think Chris officially announced that this provides insight into the Dark Knight Legend. This scene might explain why Bruce Wayne has been seen with a cane Good theory, the masquerade ba...

Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate

The name "Ariadne" in Inception was worked out by people, why not try "Miranda" as well? According to Miranda Nolan's bio page on her website, she attended Stratford-upon-Avon College . She is first cousin to Writer/Director brothers, Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan. Miranda went to school in ...

Dark Knight and The Hero's Journey

Most of Nolan's films are structurally unconventional. But with his Dark Knight Trilogy, I think he is very consciously adhering to Campbell's Monomyth. If you look carefully, the clues are quite obvious. I think his goal is to create the classic trilogy of this generation - like the original Star W...

[SPOILERS] TDKR Plot Speculation

Okay, I know that IMDB can be EXTREMELY unreliable and what I'm about to most here is not necessarily true, but it's the best logical ending/plot details posted yet. The guy apparently worked on set... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1345836/board/thread/192726886 Here's the main info we can see from t...

How Do You Define 'End'?

Simply put for me... "The Legend Ends" - Batman as we know him will cease to exist in this movie. Bane will destroy him both physically and from a philosophical perspective. "The Dark Knight Rises" - Bruce will experience a "resurrection" of sort, Batman will return from out of the shadows and into ...
