Re: Cast

The reactions to the casting of Cillian Murphy as Oppenheimer have been overwhelmingly positive. Even those who raised their eyebrows at Nolan's contract deal with Universal are appeased. After years of being Nolan's bridesmaid, Cillian Murphy has finally become his bride.

Re: Untitled Oppenheimer Project - General Information

I am exited for this project but I don't have that much faith in Nolan. Tenet was a hilarious misfire on so many levels. I wouldn't be surprised if in the future film schools will use Tenet was an example of how everything can go wrong in a movie. This new Oppenheimer project needs to win Best Pict...

Re: Dunkirk Awards Season Discussion Thread

Didn't Nolan have a great reception at the luncheon? Anyway, imagine the uproar if Dunkirk won BP after that trailblazer motage for equality? If that wasn't an obvious message... And come on, GDT's win was on lock considering he sweeped all the other awards.

No surprise. You have a link to the interview?

Re: Phantom Thread (2017)

I enjoyed this film, but the lack of backstory regarding Alma's character slightly bothered me. I didn't know her at all, what was her motivation for staying with DDL's real insufferable Reynolds?

Re: Dunkirk Awards Season Discussion Thread

What makes you say that? Her reply to that first tweet I posted: https://twitter.com/ava/status/961866053381836805 It's not a big deal obviously, it just kind of caught me off guard. I guess she still thinks that Dunkirk it's not enough representative and inclusive. If she calls him racist or somet...

Re: Dunkirk Awards Season Discussion Thread

Is Zimmer on tour? Don't think I saw him at the luncheon. Anyway, really love the interactions between the Nolans and Rockwell, also with Gary.
