Re: Hoyte van Hoytema as Director of Photography
Overall, I found Hoytema's style quite beautiful to look at. I'm especially impressed with the IMAX sequences, particularly the pursuit of the Indian surveillance drone in the cornfield and the wide shots on Mann's planet. And it is easy to see the difference in visual style with Interstellar- there...

Re: 'Interstellar' Nolan Fans Member Reviews
Went to the midnight screening at IMAX. As with every Nolan film, I'm never entirely sure what I'm in for prior to a screening. And, as usual, the film surprised me with the direction it took. Which is a good thing. Acting was beautifully done. Mcconaughey gave a standout performance- interactions b...

Re: Your Favorite Things About TDKR
- Bane's dialogue.
- Climbing out of the pit.
- Music.
- Cinematography (My god, I'm still depressed Wally didn't get an Oscar nomination for this).
- The tone of finality. Everything lead to this.

Re: Where will you be watching?
Sydney IMAX for me. Their drawcard is always that it's the largest IMAX screen in the world.
Although, getting tickets for the midnight show will be close to impossible. If the release gets people as excited as they were for TDKR.

TDKR Fan Art
Randomly came across this. Interesting, but I don't necessarily agree that Bane speaks lies. He lied to the people of gotham about setting them free when they were actually trapped with a bomb But on the other hand, his monologue during the first fight scene with Batman has a fair bit of truth to i...

Why was TDKR snubbed at the Oscars?
I'm taking a guess that it's because the Academy feels a sense of "obligation" to give Oscars to the films that are so blatantly made with the aim of receiving awards, regardless of whether the movie actually deserves it or not.anikom15 wrote:Why must a film be Oscar bait to deserve an Oscar?

Why was TDKR snubbed at the Oscars?
I was full of rage yesterday but I can't bring myself to care anymore.
The Academy can nominate whichever movies they want to. TDKR doesn't need a golden statue to prove itself to anyone.
