Re: 'Dunkirk' Nolan Fans Member Reviews (NFometer)

I've just come back from a 70mm showing at the Cinerama in Seattle. This has got to be my favorite camera and sound work from any Christopher Nolan film, ever. As a slight historian and an especially big fan of WWII films, this film delivered on every aspect that it attempted. Loud, beautifully shot...

Re: Free Extra Ticket To Dunkirk: Seattle / July 21st / Cine

Yeah I seem to remember you saying you didn't enjoy the film or that it felt hollow to you. Unfortunate, but I am going in with an open mind and ready to have an experience, as is my attitude every time I see a Nolan film.

Re: Free Extra Ticket To Dunkirk: Seattle / July 21st / Cine

Believe it or not, I have asked a lot of people I know and none of them are interested. Even on facebook, no one wanted to go and everyone seems to be under the impression that the movie is boring, or they simply don't like Christopher Nolan. I'm not sure what is up with all of that so I thought I'd...

Free Extra Ticket To Dunkirk: Seattle / July 21st / Cinerama

I have a free extra ticket to see Dunkirk in 70mm at 3:45pm tomorrow at The Cinerama in Seattle if anyone near by wants to claim it and see it with me. My father had to back out due to work. Let me know. :gonf:

Re: Budget

Strange, TDKR was $250 million. I can clearly see from just the trailer that there is close to none or zero CGI so that makes sense, and aside from that it is a shorter film. I'm actually impressed that the predictions and likely budget are at or under $100 million, because I can't remember the last...

Re: Dunkirk Official Reviews Discussion

Why did that one guy give it a negative review on RT? I mean, he must have enjoyed it on some level. Did he do it just to seem hip? His gripe was that he was expecting a standard war film with backstories, politics etc. This is perhaps the first "unconventional" war film ever, and that is why so ma...

Re: Christopher Nolan For Making A Bond Movie?

I'm hoping Nolan will wait until Craig is out of the picture, Skyfall was essentially an homage to TDK so it would be a bit awkward honestly.

Re: Nolan's next film after Dunkirk

Here is a wild idea: a sports flick haha. Whatever it is I'm in. I could definitely see him doing a hockey or non-American football (soccer) film. Maybe even perhaps a running film? The story of Katherine Switzer, who illegally ran the Boston marathon 50 years ago and was arrested. She just complet...

Re: Nolan's next film after Dunkirk

Daniel Craig is signed on for one more bond film and that is tentively set to be released in 2018. Mendes won't return but I seriously don't think Nolan will jump right to that. It would mean he would have to begin work in the next few months, and from what I gather of his method, Nolan has his film...
