Re: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)

Red Letter Media doesn't hate everything for the sake of it. Lots of their critiques are good. Just because your opinion doesn't line up with theirs doesn't mean you should discredit their intentions. Lots of people are just far too sensitive to criticism. What Rian Johnson did in The Last Jedi is n...

Re: Bond 25 (2020)

This is how you do it. We previously discussed this earlier in this thread. You shouldn't change the character of Bond, you should simply make a new character. Just like they did with Miles Morales too.

Re: The Lion King (2019)

I wonder how many of you people who are here to complain about the existence of this film, would have actually said no to hundreds of million dollars in profit, if you were in charge of things, just because of an inconsequential reason that artistically there is no point in making it. What does thi...

Re: Best Avy or Sig?

I'm going to blunt as a baseball bat. All these avatars suck. Mine's not especially good either. They're mostly just pictures of random celebrities or women—or Timothee. The best avatar is easily Dobson's. It enhances so many of his comments, many of which can simply be left blank with help from the...

Re: Disney+'s The Mandalorian

There has to be a catch, like there being a ton of filler in between all the cool stuff, or a huge portion of the show re-using the same sets or something. Because the economics of this is too good to be true: multiple hours of cinema-quality Star Wars, not for theaters, not for TV, but for web str...

Re: The Lion King (2019)

Rotten Tomatoes doesn't affect The Lion King so don't even bother. Probably less than 1% of the people who will be watching TLK have check RT. This thing probably is going to make close to $2billion if that crappy movie like The Jungle Book is an indication. The general public isn't directly cogniz...

Re: Midsommar (2019)

There is such thing as 'belaboring the point' and terrible pacing, and this movie crossed that line. Well said. I would expand on that point even further. A smart movie doesn't feel the need to slow down to a snail's pace to let you know just how smart it is. Contemplative shots that last minutes o...

Re: Most Anticipated Movies of 2019

Ford v Ferrari , Ad Astra , Once Upon A Time In Hollywood , Queen & Slim , Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker . I having a passing interest in 21 Bridges , but it looks likely that it's going to be horrible. I think if Joker gets good reviews, it will be because it's an arthouse-style character study...

Re: Last Film You Watched? VI

I just watched Taxi Driver on Netflix. Holy Hell. I don't know how you take such a simple but budding concept and turn it into one of the most banal, vapid, and meandering sacks of ass to be acclaimed. It makes less than two hours feel like four. This film doesn't even have a shadow of the supposed ...
