Re: Tenet - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

I can see such compromises, like:

- Shooting at 1:00 AM.
- Closing off only a couple of exits at a time.
- Only getting every third weekday (or something).

But no, I doubt he could get a full main highway closure for a month. Not even Nolan.

Re: Tenet - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

I'm surprised they're not just building a fake highway like they did for Matrix Reloaded. It looked great, and convincing. To add to that, are there any fake highways in Hollywood with the sole purpose of filming movies and TV shows on? I've always wondered that. I know they have fake city and town...

Re: Tenet - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

well damn guess the amount of VFX isn't going to be that much considering it has seven months to finish post lol how much time was Interstellar's post production? The majority of Interstellar's visual effects were actually done before filming, so that the actors could work in front of actual visual...

Re: Your real life picture!

What subject do you teach? I teach math. I've taught everything from Algebra 1 to Pre-calc. I'm a teacher too. How old are you ? EDIT: I honestly thought this was a dupe account of a certain vet :P Didn't realized I missed this super old post. I'm 30 now. I was 27 in the photo that you saw though.

Re: Tenet - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

Nolan is secretly directing Bond 25. All this other stuff is just foreplay.

Looks quite convincing to me.
Well, it doesn't to me. So, nobody wins?

I'm just stating that was my biggest VFX qualm, which all told was intended to be a testament for how good the majority of the film looked.

Re: Tenet - Crew Discussion/Speculation

I'll actually agree on some other CGI shots being ehh, involving planes at least. I'd have to think of some others, but I haven't seen the film in a while. The two I'm referring to have to do with the same capsizing ship, but one is the sequence where you see it actually rotating downward starting a...

Re: Tenet - Crew Discussion/Speculation

Right, that's what I'm talking about. When they used CG smoke, it was noticeable. Two shots in particular were most bothersome above the rest, but there you are. The rest of that film looks incredible.

Very cool to maintain any Mad Max ties, though. That has to stand for something.

What about the smoke?
It wasn't flawless in the visual effects department. It literally looked like CGI smoke, no matter which format I've seen the film in (70mm IMAX, digital cinema, Blu-ray, UHD...).

There are only two shots in particular that bother me with it, though.
