Re: Trailer #2

I've only seen it once so far in front of Heisenberg vs. the Monster , but in complete honesty, it looks kind of ... conventional, I suppose. I'm thinking "Contact + Armageddon + Lost In Space". I'm tempering my expectations right now, hopefully Nolan's being his old swaggy self and just hiding a l...

Re: Trailer #2

The plot sounds incredibly silly, and unneeded. lolwut. If you consider the harsh reality of whats to come for our planet as "silly" then wow. The idea that traveling through a wormhole to plant corn, is in any way a logical or cost effective solution is silly. This has nothing to do with climate c...

The plot sounds incredibly silly, and unneeded. Still, the space scenes look incredible. Definitely Contact/Spielberg influences here

It really is... are you in agreement with critics that this is Spielberg's best acted all around film? Also do you think this is the best acted film of the year overall?

He's very important, both to Abe's relationship with Mary, but in regards to the Abe's outlook on the war. James Spader is hilarious in it. Outside of DDL which I realize goes without sayin...

Best Sci Fi film of the Century

That doesn't make any sense. Animation is a medium, it's not a genre of story. Of course animated films are genre based, just like any other movie. No one would say Persepolis is the same genre as Monster's Inc, or Waltz with Bashir is the same as Rango. Please, whenever you consider replying to so...

Best Sci Fi film of the Century

Yeah but it's about the life of a robot, and how it discovers his 'humanity(?)' and how humans and machines will relate to each other in the future. That doesn't make it sci-fi tho as a genre. It's still an animation and animations are pretty much not genre based. Their genres are influenced by the...
