In the opening scene he definitely did, you can see it clearly when he's eating out of that bowl. At the end in the same scene I don't remember seeing his hand, someone will have to look out for that. Interesting. A couple things I noticed watching again last night: When Ariadne goes into Cobb's elevator of dreams and they stop at the beach memory, Ariadne asks Cobb why he does this to himself. He says "Because in my dreams we're still together" . Hence the ring appearing on his hand when he's not in reality...
