Re: HBO's Watchmen

Which one? There’s decades worth of music and different styles.🕷️ Considering my love of Radiohead, I've gotten recommended Trent's music by a lot of different people both online and in real-life. I've dabbled here and there and can't find a sound I like. A friend even went so far as to give me a c...

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)

I'm of the opinion if the exact same script was adapted by a terrific filmmaker (and wasn't fired) it could've been a really great Star Wars movie. Frankly, under the circumstances of production the movie coming out as competently as it did is a fucking miracle. Personally, I really enjoy Solo but I...

Re: Bond 25 (2020)

okay so my whiteness is beaming from a mile away, but what exactly is wrong with slumdog millionaire? never heard any controversies other than some of the film’s child actors still living in slums after the film had become popular. or is cilogy and pratham shit talking the film because their shtick...

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)

if you mean the filmmaking is "messy" you're not wrong, it's tonally erratic and aesthetically counter-intuitive, and the result of some editorial butchering the movie has a stop-start quality. but if you mean narratively, I really disagree. The Enfys stuff is somewhat messy, but by and large the sc...

Reactions and reviews are all over the place. Looks like it's a polarizing experience.

Re: Bond 25 (2020)

Ahem, "used his degrees to substantiate his opinion lol", that was a twist on the comment (last sentence) that I replied to. Context.. Compared to Boyle, Fukunaga is a nobody. I know I shouldn't respond to you but it's clear I mentioned that to explain that I'm a fan of Boyle and interested in his ...

Re: Bond 25 (2020)

Saying it’s a “huge upgrade” is a pretty big slap in the face to Boyle’s talent as a filmmaker. Plus now they’re going back to the hacks Purvis and Wade’s script which is prob a huge downgrade. boyle makes interesting and often experimental movies that are fun to watch and to deconstruct but idk ma...

Re: Star Wars Universe Discussion Thread

This probably will just mean 12 months between releases but frankly if they did Star Wars movies less often than that I think we'd all be happy about it too. Keep Star Wars special.
