Re: Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017)

Don’t get me wrong, this film is definitely about the journey, but dang it all they started treading more and more into catching the guy towards the end. What I think is most frustrating is you know the director could have done an amazing/brutal payoff if he wanted to. Ambiguity itself is the payof...

Re: Phantom Thread (2017)

I accepted it immediately. He saw her, she saw him, they had chemistry and felt something.

Isn't that how it always works?

Re: Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017)

I liked everything in the film, the amazing balance of comedy and drama except I hated the ending, give me some kind of freaking resolution. It reminded me so much of No Country for Old Men in that the ending is the only thing I disliked. Am I in the minority or was the ending viewed as polarizing ...

This was a delight. Buscemi was MVP but Tambor was the funniest. 10/10

Re: Box Office

All things considered, I'd say it did pretty well. If the big crowd pleaser The Martian benefiting from 3D ticket surcharge and with a big star as the lead and great reviews all around, grossed about 230m, then 190m is fairly reasonable for Interstellar.£ For my money, Interstellar and Dunkirk have...

Re: Last Film You Watched? VI

No. Phoenix has rapidly become one of, if not my favorite actor. Him winning best actor at Cannes and all the buzz from there got me interested in YWNRH. Greenwoods involvement was the cherry on top. This I was less interested in but I felt like I should see something from Ramsey before going into ...

Re: Last Film You Watched? VI

We Need to Talk About Kevin I blind bought this film in anticipation for YWNRH because the Blu-Ray is so hard to find under the price I got it for. However, I just can't figure out if I made the right decision purchasing it because I can't even wrap my head around my own feelings on the film or whe...
