The only thing remotely entertaining and enjoyable which is relatable to that particular franchise is the Disneyland ride.

Its one of the best looking psychological horror films but there were certain elements where I feel the film was lacking.

To put it blunt I didnt care for any particular character in the film.

Akira is a great film but if you think the film is oddball you should try to catch-up with the manga's/comics. Akira is a huge presence in the comics and Katsuhiro Otomo artwork is mind blowing. I wonder if Tyrannosaur could be a sequel for Marsan's character... I haven't seen that, might check it out. I really loved Marsan's character It's brutal, brutal stuff.
