Re: what actors do you wish Nolan would work with in the fut

Gyllenhaal is a must at this point, what with Nightcrawler and this new Everest pic under his belt. He needs to keep his greasy long hair though.

Re: Nolan Directing A Dystopian Future Film

doesn't Interstellar kind of cover that base a bit? Hmm, very good point. I didn't consider that. Even Inception is kind of a dystopian film, albeit of a subtle kind. Massive, faceless corporations with internationally-reaching powers, limits undefined... the fear that your most private thoughts mi...

Re: Interstellar's Soundtrack

The Illuminated Star Projection Box edition appears to be available under "Used & New" on Amazon now for just £14. At first I thought it must be the standard CD, listed on the wrong page by the seller, but there's a handful of sellers listing it there for roughly the same price. I've ordered it, wi...

Re: New Nolan Film in 2016?

He's covered a lot of the main sci-fi tenets now- space travel, time travel (of a sort), teleportation in The Prestige, introspective mind-ready stuff in Inception... parallel universes is the main one he hasn't done, but with Christopher Priest publishing The Adjacent (which deals with the same sub...

Re: Interstellar's Soundtrack

I'm surprised there's been so little talk yet of Quantifiable Connection since the leak. Is there too much SFX still in the mix?

Re: Interstellar's Soundtrack

Update from me, Amazon page for the Illuminated edition, where I bought it for £15, said delivery would be Feb 9-27, still not arrived. Have contacted the seller. Will be curious to see whether these cheaper copies on Amazon are legit.

Re: DVD/BLU RAY RELEASE

Interstellar deserves to be seen in the best quality possible. Sure, but not buy-a-tv-and-a-blu-ray-player-for-one-film deserving. I saw it in 70mm IMAX the first time I saw it, and it was absolutely bleeding beautiful. But even Blu-Ray is a downscaling from Nolan's intended vision, if we're going ...

Re: Interstellar Updates Thread

I have to say, I'm really not happy with this recent trend of putting all but one of the special features only on the blu-ray edition of a film. It was the same with Cloud Atlas, and the boxset of Edgar Wright's Cornetto Trilogy, for example. It's like they're trying to force the older format (DVD)...
