Christopher Nolan Moderates Heat Panel for the Academy

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences recently held a screening of the 4K remaster of Michael Mann’s spectacular 1995 film Heat. After the screening there was a panel of cast and crew members moderated by none other than Christopher Nolan himself. Heat was famously a big influence on Christopher Nolan, which shows strongly in his work on The Dark Knight. Nolan touted Heat as an “incredible” crime movie that “transcends genre.” Approximentally 30 minutes of the panel, which includes Michael Mann, Robert De Niro, and Al Pacino (whom Nolan worked with on Insomnia) can be found on The Academy‘s YouTube channel. Is Nolan’s Next Film Going to be Filmed in Dunkirk, France?

It’s a Christmas miracle… possibly.

According to a local French news website, Mayor of Dunkirk, Patrice Vergriete, has announced that their municipality is to expect a huge American film production from the end of May to end of June, 2016. Who the film director is, is kept secret, but sources say it is Christopher Nolan. Himself and his brother Jonathan have visited the town recently. Memento Has (For Some Reason) Been Greenlit for a Remake

In case you missed it, Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi of AMBI Pictures have announced that they will be financing and producing a Memento remake. The remake rights of Christopher and Jonathan Nolan’s 2000 breakout thriller was acquired, along with many other beloved titles, via AMBI’s access to the library of Exclusive Media Group.
