Tenet Social Media Launches with New Tagline and Hidden Message

Tenet Social Media

Today the social media campaign for Christopher Nolan’s Tenet began with the launch of its Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts. The Official Website also got an update. And while at first these social media pages don’t seem to reveal much, we got a few new insights into the secretive film. One of the first things noticed was that the Twitter banner revealed a new tagline: Time Runs Out. This reveal was a clue that helped uncover the next big thing…

Nolan Fans user postal noticed something interesting. The social media pages posted a video loop of the Tenet title flipping clockwise — much like in the initial teaser trailer (shown in theaters only) and initial iteration of the Official Website. However this new video loop didn’t switch/invert colors like the website loop used to; which was evenly. Instead, if you pictured the looping title representing a clock, the color switch/inversion happens on a certain set of “times” or numbers… 1,2,1,9,1, and 9 again. 121919.

Tenet Date Reveal

12.19.19 aka December 19, 2019 — the night Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters. This is the film everyone has speculated the Tenet prologue will debut with. With the most recent update about the prologue (thanks to Trailer-Track) detailing the prologue has been internationally rated at a running time of 6 minutes and 32 seconds, the Tenet IMAX prologue is all but officially confirmed with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker next week.

For more information and speculation, check out our Forums! Huge thanks to postal for uncovering this clue! Tenet hits theaters July 17, 2020 in IMAX and theaters.
