Many of you have asked where our monthly fan art articles went, being that the last time we published one was back in June. Well, for reasons previously expressed and unexpressed, we’ve decided to consolidate the all of the fan art from summer into one big article. So without further ado, welcome to the Summer Fan Art roundup, the 10th entry in our series of write-ups showcasing fan art relating to the work of Christopher Nolan. We’ve got a bunch of The Dark Knight Rises and trilogy themed art, so enjoy!
We’ll kick it off with one of our favorite artists, and Nolan Fans user, MMatt. He’s been responsible for some of the best known The Dark Knight Rises fan posters around. His work is so good, Warner Bros. has taken inspiration from it. For our summer article we wanted to highlight his wonderful trilogy poster. Check it:
Concept artist and illustrator Warrick Wong created this fantastic and dramatic piece of Batman and Bane fighting:
Nolan Fans user Sysmatic is no stranger to our Fan Art roundups. This edition he makes it in with his striking The Dark Knight Rises banner — which is so good, it outshines many of the real banners. Enjoy:
Jumping into something more comic-book-y, Martin Ansin‘s The Dark Knight Rises inspired art recently featured in The New Yorker caught our eye:
Next up, David Ryan Andersson‘s Rogues Gallery set is a colorful and stylish collection. Check ’em out:
We just love Josef Ludwig‘s tribute of what is sure to be one of the iconic visuals from The Dark Knight Rises: The Pit.
Cory Megan Levens created this simple but awesome Selina Kyle sketch:
Keeping with the character art, DeviantArtist lalstrujillo made this wicked Bane art:
Peter Strain‘s black and white trilogy sketch is something I want hanging on my wall:
Lastly, we leave you with another fantastic collection, this time from from artist Eduardo Pena. His collection of concept art style paintings from The Dark Knight Trilogy is inspired.
That does it for this edition. If you’re an artist, editor, or musician, etc., and you would like your art featured in one of our monthly Fan Art write-ups, hit us up on Tumblr or in the Fan Art section in the Nolan Fans Forums. Thanks. See you next month with some more great Fan Art!
