The Legend Ends In The New Dark Knight Rises Poster

A new poster for The Dark Knight Rises has hit the net via the official website! Bane stands alone in the snowy landscape, amongst pieces of Batman’s broken cowl. The Legend Ends, reads the tagline, pointing to the finality of the story, which will be Christopher Nolan’s last entry in his Batman trilogy. Check out the new hi-res poster below, and be sure to share your thoughts and excitement in the comments.

A new trailer will debut next week at Digital IMAX showings of the new Mission Impossible, and in front of the new Sherlock Holmes. The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters on July 20, 2012.

ok, I guess it is time for me to be THAT GUY but the poster is…just ok to me. It’s cool don’t get me wrong, but it just seems like the typical poster that Hollywood likes to put out and this isn’t a typical Hollywood movie. Especially with the text across the front like that. It’s just kind of boring to me. I love the Film Noir-esque feel to it though and I still can not WAIT to see this damn thing already

I agree, it also uses the typical fan art photoshop formula with resourced imagery which why it’s kinda boring. Bane is resourced from the earlier released photo from Empire with photoshopped arms and lighting, along with another cliched symbol for ‘breaking the bat’. I just wish there was better use of photography rather than photoshopping. Well at all, I think it’s a disappointing follow up to the amazing first poster which was at Inception posters’ standards. This new poster is just fan art standards.

To each their own, but I think we’re at the Point that it doesn’t matter what Nolan does, it won’t live up to the hype. My opinion? It’s just a poster. My only other thought is that the majority of the movie going public doesn’t know who Bane is and what he’s done to Batman. These people are probably pretty awed and intrigued by the imagery.. which is exactly the intent.

Personally, I don’t get that excited over posters, but this one delivers.

Yes. I too feel Batman will die at the end. The only one he had was Rachel who already dead so I see no point for him to live. Nolan should have killed him by the climax.

Well..The poster looks cool but I’ll admit that the font is underwhelming and almost gets lost. Nolan’s movies usually have minimalistic fonts but they could’ve made better use of it in here.
