Welcome to our October Fan Art roundup, the first entry in a series of monthly write-ups we plan on doing showcasing fan art relating to the work of Christopher Nolan. We get loads of neat and creative fan art submissions each month on our Tumblr page and in the fan art section of our forums. These write-ups will be a great way to share that art with our front page readers, although we highly suggest following us on Tumblr, as well as joining our forums. So what does the October Fan Art roundup include? This month we’ve got some awesome The Dark Knight Rises inspired movie posters, a The Dark Knight vs A Nightmare On Elm Street mash-up trailer, an Edith Piaf/Mal (Marion Cotillard) tribute video, and a few more awesome pieces of art.
First up, DeviantArt artist AGENBOOMBER brings us this badass The Dark Knight Rises inspired poster of Batman looking over Gotham:
Next up is a really cool The Dark Knight Rises poster by Bryand featuring Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. It wonderfully matches the aesthetics of the original The Dark Knight posters:
YouTube user solyentbrak1 brings us this well made The Dark Knight vs A Nightmare On Elm Street mash-up trailer:
Another cool video we ran across this month was a lovely an Edith Piaf/Mal (Marion Cotillard) tribute video put together by Nolan Fans forum member Tkyjen. It’s a nice blend of Marion’s performances from Inception and La Vie En Rose:
Lastly we bring you some really neat hand-drawn and painted art via the SuperHeroHype forums. Akumuink did a superb canvas painting of the Joker:
And JMC has a nice work-in-progress hand-drawing of the major characters from Nolan’s Gotham trilogy:
If you’re an artist, editor, or musician, etc., and you would like your art featured in one of our monthly Fan Art write-ups, hit us up on Tumblr or in the Fan Art section in the Nolan Fans Forums. Thanks. See you next month with some more great Fan Art!
