Deadline is reporting that Jim Caviezel is set to be the Person of Interest in the upcoming Jonah Nolan/J.J. Abrams TV Pilot for CBS. Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ) has signed on to play Reese, a presumed dead ex-CIA agent who partners with reclusive billionaire Finch (Lost‘s Michael Emerson) to prevent violent crimes in New York City. Emerson’s casting was announced last month to a positive reaction. What do you all think about Caviezel playing the lead?

Jim Caviezel is a very underrated actor. He was the heart and soul of The Thin Red Line, and he’s done other good work in films such as Frequency and The Passion of the Christ. I’m glad to see he’s getting a chance to do something like this, hopefully it works out well for him.

Finch is the DA in Batman Begins (Rachel’s boss). He’s taken out when he looks into the microwave emitter that is shipped into Gotham. He was played by Larry Holden, who sadly passed away recently. There’s a banner up on the side of the site.

I would rather see Michael Emerson in the lead roll! Oh well I guess I’ll just have to deal with the casting the way it’s been set.

Yaayy! I’m so glad James Caviezel got the lead character. He is such a great actor, but somehow not recognized as such. The actors that are actually famous are mediocre and blown up to be more than they actually are, when there’s James Caviezel who is soo achingly beautiful and talented!

Jim Caviezel is one of the most under rated actors working today. And he’s one of only two actors who, as himself, appears to be a better man than the roles he plays with the understandable exception of one role. The other actor was Patrick Zwayze.

I think he is a great actor & didn’t deserve what Hollywood did to him. He was great in the Passion & Hollywood doesn’t know their audience that’s right you self-absorbed idiots. We live real lives we believe in God & contrary to popular belief this is a Christian nation has been since I took my 1st breath 56 yrs ago. So it’s about time Jim Caviezel got the recognition he deserves. Person of Interest is a good show compared to the other garbage they call entertainment that’s on now.

He is fast becoming one of my favorite actors … Anthony Hopkins may have to move over. What impresses me is that he ‘becomes’ the character … I hate actors who never become the character .. you always know who they are. I don’t want to be detracted from the story by keep being reminded that he is a famous actor. Hopkins is a master at becoming the character .. and Jim is in the same vein.
